Lifestyle Change
The hCG Diet
The hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) diet, initially developed by Dr. Albert T.W. Simeons, combines a low-calorie diet with hormones in the form of hCG. As an OBGYN, Dr. Simeons noticed that pregnant women initially lost weight and didn’t experience headaches, hunger, and similar symptoms that can inhibit weight loss. This weight-loss method led to excellent results in rapid weight loss without hunger pangs and adverse health effects.
What Does the hCG Diet Involve?
Before receiving the first hCG injection, you’ll need to fat load for two days. Then, you’ll start the injections and a three- or six-week plan, depending on your weight loss goals. This plan involves a low-calorie diet (500 calories per day) that excludes alcohol, oils, and sugars, with carbs kept to a minimum. After the three- or six-week period, you’ll gradually re-introduce foods into your diet and increase your calorie intake.
CBD
If you struggle with pain and inflammation, introducing CBD products into your routine may bring you relief. CBD, or cannabidiol, is a naturally occurring chemical compound in cannabis. While it’s found in marijuana, it doesn’t cause the high associated with cannabis use (that comes from a different compound called THC). Instead, CBD provides the calm, relaxed sensation related to cannabis. Used alone as oils, creams, capsules, and edibles, CBD can be a beneficial component of your pain treatment plan.
CBD has been shown to reduce inflammation due to its effect on the body’s endocannabinoid receptors. Since the endocannabinoid system impacts many facets of your health, including immune function, sleep, stress, muscle formation, bone growth, and, of course, pain, CBD can offer a far-reaching improvement to your wellbeing
